Dr. Melanie
"The Parent Doctor"
Dr. Melanie Bazarte holds a degree in Child Development and Teaching from Michigan State University.
She attended the famous Merrill-Palmer Institute of Human Development and Family Life in Detroit, and
earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.
Dr. Melanie has had over 3,000 students in preschool, Head Start, first and second grades. It was
while giving various workshops for her classroom parents that she recognized the importance of working
with families and starting even before birth.
After receiving her doctorate in Early Childhood Education from Nova Southeastern University in Fort
Lauderdale, Dr. Melanie designed and implemented her unique Baby & Me, Toddler & Me, Daddy & Me programs
in Florida. She teaches pre-birth Parenting 101 classes for expecting parents, as well as classes for
children expecting new siblings. Dr. Melanie is a highly acclaimed professional speaker specializing
in parenting workshops and teacher training all over the country. She frequently guests on radio and
cable TV, has recently appeared on CNBC, and lectured in Geneva, Switzerland.
